In Loving Memory Of Our Dear Friend Craig
The Tong Ren community will come together to share our memories and pay tribute to Craig Holmes, who passed away on August 5th. We are deeply saddened by Craig’s passing and invite those who knew Craig and were touched by him to come together, share memory, find some closure.
Craig gave freely of himself with compassion, and seemed always to be in the light, surrounded by and emanating positivity and hope. Most know Craig from the Burlington class (formerly Concord) and the class he started with Wyndee Egan, at her Magnolia yoga studio. He was dedicated to everyone in his classes, and wonderful in his practice of tong ren both in class, and helping people after class. He was always, always the last person to leave Burlington.
There are also many people who know Craig and Janet, his wife, from earlier Tong Ren days. Craig and Janet first came to Tong Ren through word of mouth, and Janet was able to heal a longstanding scarring issue. Tom asked her to help another person, and before long Janet and Craig had started ‘the in-betweeners’, working with individuals with stage 4 cancers between classes. This work morphed into conference calls, and the conference call sheet we use today was designed by them. They had such a fun side – dressing for Halloween in the Haverhill classes and even dressing the doll as a wizard in purple robe.
Craig was beloved in his professional life, but his passion and love for healing was best expressed in the Tong Ren community. In 2019, seventy five people joined Tom and Craig in Magnolia, to celebrate the (fairly) new class and the his work with Wyndee on the north shore. We now honor Craig again.
